The logbook provides a way for you to track anything (and everything!) as a landlord. What you choose to track is up to you but it’s really well-suited for logging things like:

  • Communication with tenants
  • Incidents (between tenants or between a tenant and you)
  • Property maintenance
  • Rent being paid late
  • Serving an eviction notice, or
  • A new tenancy

Think of it as a smart diary – you can record all of the things that happen as you manage your property and assign tags to each entry depending on which property, unit, or tenant it applies to. This keeps everything organized and ensures that when you’re reviewing the logbook for a particular unit or tenant that every relevant event is included.

In our experience, if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having to deal with a problem tenant you’ll want to have quick access to a detailed record with dated entries. It’s an invaluable resource.
